James Gay

James joined the group as Advisor to the Board over eight years ago, before he was asked by the Founders to step into the CEO role and lead the strategic direction of the group.

His background is in the tech industry where he grew his software company into a global business, developing business improvement solutions to some of the largest companies in the world.

James’ vision is to incorporate his experience of world class customer service, sound operational procedures, innovative technology, and industry best practice to deliver a superior service.

Paul Atwell

The Atwell Martin Property Management story started with Paul, and to this day, he remains an integral figure at AMPM along with his business partner James Gay. Pauls vision for the company continues to guide the way we work and the exceptional service we strive to deliver.

The recession of 2008 kick-started Paul’s entrepreneurial spirit, as he realised there were many properties that were tenanted and could become vacant, which would subsequently need to be managed, secured and maintained. And so, Atwell Martin and Veritas were born.

Growing the company and service lines over the last 20 years as Managing Director, Paul and his business partner have also built a substantial personal portfolio.

He has further developed the company proposition and is now heavily involved in property development, continuing building the rental portfolio of private professional and student accommodation. With this wealth of hands-on experience of the property industry, and a deep understanding of the unique requirements of landlords, administrators, receivers and contractors, Paul’s vision continues to guide us in delivering excellence for our valued customers.

Yasmine Eldene

Yasmine joined Atwell Martin in 2010 and new to the industry at the time, she quickly developed an interest for all things property. With a passion for delivering customer satisfaction and developing positive relationships, Yasmine enjoys seeking improvements to streamline processes and provide the highest level of service to our clients.

Having worked within a variety of roles within the business, Yasmine was appointed a Director in 2017. At the helm of operations, Yasmine creates and implements internal policies, ensuring integration of compliance with legislation, industry best practice and service.

Away from the office, Yasmine enjoys travelling and exploring the great outdoors, whether it’s hiking with her pooch or skiing in the mountains.  

Tom Smith

Introducing Tom, our Lettings Manager with a wealth of experience which is a tremendous asset to AMPM. Tom places a strong emphasis on punctuality and a dedicated work ethic.

Tom is renowned for his approachable and friendly personality, guaranteeing a consistently warm and inviting experience for our clients.

When he's not in the office, you'll frequently find Tom at the gym or in the boxing ring, actively engaging in activities that keep his heart rate elevated.

Jonathan Coyte

Jonathan is a RICS Chartered Surveyor with over a decade experience in acquiring, managing and refurbishing investment property around the South West.

Based in Exeter, he has an exceptional knowledge of the local area and property market, Jonathan has been a trusted advisor to Paul and James for many years which has led to the purchase and significant refurbishment of property for their care and residential tenants.

Gemma Newbery

Gemma leads our Property Management team, using over 12 years of industry experience.

Her ARLA Propertymark qualification highlights her expertise in property management, particularly in overseeing key client portfolios.

Gemma is dedicated to ensuring seamless operations and delivering exceptional service to our clients.

Beyond work, she delights in exploring the world, enjoying travel experiences and spending time with her two dogs.

Helen Spencer

Introducing Helen, the longest serving member of the Atwell Martin family with an impressive 22 years with Atwell Martin. Helen is an invaluable member of our team, known for her unwavering loyalty, attention to detail and boundless enthusiasm.

Helen oversees the seamless operation of our accounts department. She takes charge of collecting and accurately recording rental payments, ensuring that both landlords and contractors receive their payments punctually.

Outside of work, Helen is a devoted Mum of two boys, balancing her career with her family life. In her leisure time, she maintains an active lifestyle, regularly attending fitness classes, and finds solace in the countryside during her cherished walks.

Sara Slade

Sara’s valued clients entrust her with their homes to not only find them the best possible value in the shortest possible timeframe but also to marry the right candidate to their investment.
